 Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will deliver value through budgeting, forecasting, expense management, reporting and analysis.  This is an ideal role for someone with background in accounting and/or finance, who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment.  The successful candidate will be a motivated, high-potential performer with demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deliverables, and support cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will also work with the Project Coordinator and marketing department to track financial performance of store projects as well as to track coop marketing agreements to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and reimbursements from external brand partners are received.

The Financial Analyst will also assist in developing SAP Business Warehouse reports and delivery mechanisms with potential to become ‘super user’ of reporting tool to help employees become self-sufficient.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Understand company accounting methods, policies and procedures
  • Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports and respond to related inquiries with additional follow-up analysis Provide reporting and analysis
  • Complete assigned duties during monthly, quarterly and year end closings
  • Maintains digital project accounting and marketing trackers including data entry of invoices
  • Develop, maintain and deliver SAP BW reports
  • Establish and maintain operational and business metrics
  • Assists with other assignments and/or special projects as requested

 

Essential Skills & Experience

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in related industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting, financial reporting and analysis experience

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Basic accounting skills and understanding of GAAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of self-motivation to drive activities to closure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally and with all levels of management
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in reporting/analysis with Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.)
  • Robust system acumen (SAP preferred) including multi-dimensional reporting tools (SAP BW preferred)
