  • This position also includes frequent travel opportunities, working on projects that bring to life the stories behind watches, brands, and the people who make them.
  • Edit a wide range of editorial and branded videos from start to finish, maintaining Hodinkee’s high visual and storytelling standards. There is an immediate need to complete compelling long-form content that has already been shot.
  • Collaborate closely with the editorial, creative, and partnerships teams to develop compelling narratives.
  • Apply color correction, deliver polished edits, and produce quick-turn versions for social media.
  • Manage production logistics, schedules, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project files, efficient workflows, and clean version management throughout post-production.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and photo editing in Photoshop is highly desirable

Essential Experience and Attributes

  • Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating exceptional storytelling instincts, refined pacing, and attention to detail—knowing how to get it right from the first version.
  • Proficiency in color correction and producing quick-turn social media edits.
  • Editorial judgment—an intuitive sense for what makes a story resonate.
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with Hodinkee’s creative vision and production standards.
  • Solid producing and project management skills: scheduling, communication, and versioning.
  • Comfortable handling camera, lighting, and sound for occasional shoots.
  • A genuine passion for watches, craftsmanship, or the luxury lifestyle space is a major plus.
  • Willingness and excitement to travel for shoots and collaborations.
