Video Editor / Producer / Shooter
Hodinkee is looking for a Video Editor / Producer / Shooter to support Hodinkee’s video team by creating high-quality, narrative-driven content that reflects the brand’s distinct style and voice. This individual is responsible for editing the majority of videos, ensuring strong pacing, emotion, and visual polish across platforms. The position also involves coordinating production logistics, managing projects, and collaborating with internal and external partners. Additionally, the role includes capturing interviews, b-roll, and product footage both on location and in studio. Success in this role requires creativity, organization, and a deep understanding of Hodinkee’s content to deliver efficient, impactful storytelling.
Responsibilities
- 70% Video Editing- Lead end-to-end video editing, crafting narrative-driven content with strong pacing and emotional impact
- 20% Producing / Project Management- Coordinating shoots, managing deliverables, and liaising with internal and external teams.
- 10% Shooting- Capture video content including interviews, b-roll, and product footage both on location and in studio
- Editing a wide range of editorial and branded videos from start to finish, while maintaining Hodinkee’s high visual and storytelling standards.
- Collaborate closely with the editorial, creative, and partnerships teams to develop compelling narratives.
- Apply color correction, deliver polished edits, and produce quick-turn versions for social media.
- Maintain organized project files, efficient workflows, and clean version management throughout post-production.
- This position also includes frequent travel opportunities, working on projects that bring to life the stories behind watches, brands, and the people who make them.
Experience & Skills
- 2-4 years of professional video editing experience, ideally across editorial, branded, or documentary content
- Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating exceptional storytelling instincts, refined pacing, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in color correction and producing quick-turn social media edits.
- Proven ability to manage projects, including scheduling, communication, and maintaining version control
- Experience supporting production workflows, including coordinating shoots and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience capturing video content, including interviews, b-roll, and product footage
- Ability to work independently while aligning with established creative direction and brand standards
- Working knowledge of camera, lighting, and sound equipment
- Prior experience with After Effects and photo editing in Photoshop is highly desirable
- Passion or interest in watches, craftsmanship, or luxury lifestyle content is a strong plus
