Sales Manager, Brand Partnerships - Hodinkee
As the Sales Manager, Brand Partnerships primary responsibilities include – driving new, non-endemic (non-watch) advertising business for the HODINKEE brand. Ideal candidates will both help develop and maximize the Brand Partnerships toolkit including Display media sales to custom content to sponsorships and integrated partnerships. Must be a digital expert with a deep knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of luxury and lifestyle. Devise a sales strategy uniquely for non-endemic brands as a growth area. |
Core Accountabilities |
•Drive commercial revenue by delivering holistic marketing solutions to new prospective partners •Create a sales pipeline for new partners across various non-watch, luxury lifestyle categories (fashion, auto, electronics, liquor, grooming, etc.) •Collaborate and communicate effectively with the endemic (watch) team •Develop and grow like-minded strategic advertising partnerships and sponsorship deals to reach and exceed sales quotas •Customize pitch strategy per brand and prepare compelling presentations to land first-time partnerships; Generating excitement and a desire to partner •Ensure that all client-facing presentation materials keenly articulate and express the value of the HODINKEE audience, brand, and marketing capabilities •Utilize marketing and sales collateral, visual presentations, research reports and sales support data to help effectively deliver to clients •Provide value across media platforms, including fresh + innovative branded content concepts and nuanced multi-platform partnerships to meet client objectives •Cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with key advertising decision makers at both the agency and client level •Manage all aspects of the sales communication and negotiation process and keep senior management abreast of status by providing accurate and timely business estimates, forecasts, and administrative paperwork •Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to map a clear process with ample lead times for advertiser programs •See production and delivery through to ensure a seamless execution •Negotiate program packages and schedules, and communicate results and flag any need for troubleshooting •Work closely with direct manager on developing advertising platforms and opportunities, ie. YouTube, Social, Sponsorships, Print, App/Mobile, Offline, Community, Creator, etc. •Work with the Marketing and Creative teams to create and deliver stronger creative solutions for clients in order to maximize sales efforts •Serve as a brand custodian, keep the HODINKEE brand uncompromised through the pitching, production and execution process •Leverage Custom Content capabilities while also staying conscious of internal bandwidth and deliverability •Deliver timely and strong summarized campaign recaps

Essential Expereince Proactive problem-solver and an energized self-starter. •Collaborative team player; analytical and creative •Successful record in closing meaningful sales programs and custom advertising partnerships •Have a keen ability to identify prospects, key client stakeholders and nurture profitable partnerships •Proactively prospect for new business daily •Eager to build a new business from the ground up, with the ability to be discerning on partners that are right for HODINKEE •Understand areas of opportunity and works to move roadblocks quickly •Demonstrate good follow up and follow through •Positive outlook and calm disposition •Aim to overdeliver •5+ years of online advertising sales experience •Experience in branded content, integrated partnerships, and events a plus •Excellent business presentation skills including strong oral and verbal communication •Experience working in content and commerce a plus •Expertise with structuring and closing pitches, ability to navigate complex deals •Strong negotiation skills with experience in high level sales deals •IAB Sales Certification preferred •Familiarity with Google DFP •Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S. •Job is based in New York with opportunity to travel |
