RSG Watch Technician

 

Our watchmakers and watch technicians are responsible for providing high quality work on prestigious timepieces.  Assist management in the coordination of the service department to diagnose and service both quartz and mechanical movements to manufacturer spécifications. 

 

Responsibilities

  1. Test timepieces for accuracy and performance
  2. Visually checking all components for damage
  3. Casing and Decasing
  4. Movement adjustments
  5. Bracelet adjustments
  6. Full Polishing
  7. Battery Replacement
  8. Use or develop adequate tools or processes to correct issues that can arise during the repair process
  9. Client Interaction
  10. Manage Repairs (Take in, Follow up, Completion)
  11. Tools
    1. Maintain Tools and Equipment:
    2. Ensure that all equipment used is calibrated and maintained at a high standard.
    3. Proper layout and accessibility of all tools and equipment.
    4. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.

Knowledge and Skills required

  • Be able to work confidently and accurately
  • Be highly organized and capable of managing your own workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work under pressure achieving a high level of accuracy
  • One year of Technical School Training (minimum) or professional experience of 2-4 years (desired)
  • Experience in the diagnosis of both quartz and mechanical timepieces
  • Basic verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to repair and refinish cases and bracelets a plus
  • Highly flexible and team oriented, with superior work ethic.
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail required.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to remain in a seated position for an extended period required.

 

Education

High School diploma required, some College Preferred

Experience

Experience working in high-end luxury timepieces 3-5 years, preferred

For partial repair, watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair

 

Skills

  • High level of dexterity and focus to handle small parts, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and efficiently provide a high level of quality.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems by using adequate processes and tools available.

 

Working Conditions and Environment:

Our department is open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working a 40-hour workweek, with the ability to work overtime when needed.
