RSG Jeweler  

The Jeweler will perform all requested and necessary work on Jewelry to include setting, sizing, retipping, welding, soldering, polishing, engraving, cleaning, and other work consistent with Watches of Switzerland Group’s standards of quality, service, and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • The Jeweler is responsible for High repairs of assorted Jewelry pieces and high Jewelry production. High Jewelry production will require using a torch and laser wielding machines, ability to understand and respect aesthetics, work close to a team member to achieve quality required by the company. 
  • Alterations and Repairs will include chain sizing, ring sizing of various aesthetics, reshaping of bracelets, necklaces and rings and perform work on all types of metals. Additionally, the jeweler will perform work and perform polishing when required. The jeweler will assist the Customer Service team on the smooth flow of client repairs.
  • Provide accurate assessments of merchandise quality and condition so that the company may make proper decisions on the best course of action.
  • Maintain the shop and personal workspace in a clean, organized, presentable, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain, operate, service and clean as necessary all shop equipment and tools always ensuring safe operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain and request as necessary all shop supplies, to include tools and findings, adhering to best shop practices. This includes the proper consumption and recovery of findings as per Company direction.
  • Constantly pursue personal and shop improvement and development by learning and updating yourself on new and more effective and/or efficient Jeweler skills, processes, and methods.
  • Work professionally, efficiently, and courteously with all Store and Company staff, fostering teamwork and respect.
  • Communicate issues or concerns through appropriate channels.

  • Basic verbal and written English communication skills

Education

High School diploma required

 

Experience

Experience working in high-end luxury pieces 3-5 years, preferred

 

Skills

  1. Knowledge in the field of Jewelry making and repairs,
  2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in all phases of Jewelry repairs
  3. Knowledge working with 18K gold and platinum.
  4. Knowledge of stone setting and polishing.
  5. Knowledge of different techniques of Jewelry manufacturing.
  6. A Jeweler must have experience in laser welding
  7. Rhodium plating and laser engraving experience is a plus.
  8. The Jeweler must be well-organized and extremely meticulous, able to multitask in a challenging environment.
  9. Have strong verbal and communication skills.
  10. The Jeweler will possess creative problem-solving abilities, must be a collaborator and adhere to deadlines and have strong people skills with the ability to perform in a Workshop environment.
  11. Additionally, the Jeweler will be an adaptive learner who Is able to work with expedited service requests.
