Distribution Center Administrator
The Distribution Center Administrator will help achieve a world class client experience by ensuring the processing and fulfillment for a luxury goods Distribution Center. This role coordinates orders, fulfills receiving of merchandise, reallocates inventory as needed, and provides shipping support. The Distribution Center Administrator will also be responsible for weekly/monthly/yearly inventory control related issues that may arise, as well as be instrumental in year-end inventory preparation.
The successful candidate will bring experience in distribution operations, demonstrate multitasking proficiency, and excel at cross-functional teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and training to the Distribution Center team.
- Playing an integral role in succession planning, and assuming all managerial duties.
- Ensure high-quality fulfillment for distribution center orders, with a focus on luxury watches and jewelry.
- Perform quality control for luxury goods to meet brand standards.
- Coordinate and manage order fulfillment across distribution center workflows.
- Responsible for merchandise inventory controls across multiple storage locations; troubleshoot and resolve related issues.
- Coordinate with stores to address various needs, including issues, special orders, and supplies.
- Lead weekly/monthly and year-end inventory preparation and counts, ensuring accuracy.
- Manage merchandise logistics to support marketing campaigns, new showroom openings, and showroom remodel/relocations.
- Participating in physical inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with Special Orders for items ordered for eCommerce customers.
- Support additional assignments and special projects, including white-glove scheduling and international shipments.
- Back-office duties, including some weekend work, as needed.
Essential Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years warehouse experience in luxury retail or wholesale
- SAP experience preferred.
- High School / Bachelor Diploma.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with stores and the eCommerce team.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- GIA certified or experience with Quality Control of luxury goods.
