Our Stories
Rachael Flynt
Meet Rachael Flynt, our “life-of-the-party” Rolex Manager at Mayors, International Plaza.
Rachael truly commits to bringing to life her showroom, which is to create an experience for each and every client that visits her showroom. In order to do this, she speaks to clients “A LOT,” taking on a hybrid personality of a fabulous dinner party host and talk show host all while incorporating Xenia throughout every experience.
To Rachael, Xenia means authenticity, and she believes that allowing your personality to shine in every client experience creates for a more memorable moment. She states that, “because we live in a world today that is so fast-paced and digital, when someone takes the time to deliver truly authentic and personalized service to another human, it is a total game changer.” Furthermore, she could not create these experiences without the partnership of her “awesome” colleagues. She has an extremely supportive team and looks forward to working with them daily. They create a fun, positive, energetic environment that is contagious to both colleagues and clients.
Since joining Watches of Switzerland Group, Rachael’s most memorable moment has been her initial interview. Upon interviewing, Rachael was unsure of what her next career move would be; however, once she met Abbe, she knew that she had found her home!
Outside of work, Rachael loves adventure and travel more than anything. She likes to experience different cultures, foods, and ways of life as well as meeting new people along the way.
Shantel Washington
Meet Shantel, the “listening ear” of our Watches of Switzerland showroom in Soho, New York. As a Sales Professional, she not only sells but also listens, advocates, guides, and creates Xenia moments for both her clients and colleagues alike.
Xenia allows her to truly connect with her clients. It assists her in building and fostering true relationships, being of service to her clients and colleagues, and creating experiences that people want to share with others, which, to Shantel, is the foundation of good sales.
Just as important is the knowledge that you have about the pieces that you are selling. Therefore, Shantel is always looking to learn something new. She believes that every day is another opportunity to learn from her clients and colleagues and spends most of her time learning more about the beauty and intricacies of various timepieces to better guide her clients on how to best build their collections.
Since joining WOSG, one of Shantel’s most memorable moments was when a family of 8 came to the showroom just thank her for securing their daughter’s dream timepiece. The family had waited months to surprise their daughter with this gift for her graduation and trusted Shantel to find the timepiece despite the difficulty in securing it. A day before their daughter’s graduation, the timepiece became available for her, and it was not only a joy for
Shantel to be a part of this moment but to have also been trusted throughout the process
Mitch Witcher
“IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT”
Meet Mitch, our hands-on Sales Manager at Watches of Switzerland, The Promenade. As he would describe it, he does “a little bit of everything,” but his most important role is creating Xenia moments for his clients. To him, Xenia is ensuring that whoever you are serving is receiving an experience that they cannot compare to anywhere else. He believes that everyone should be treated this way as it is often the “little things that make the biggest impact.” Mitch is extremely grateful for his team and those who support him in his role. He says that, “without a doubt, my colleagues across the group contribute most to my success.”
His most memorable moment thus far at Watches of Switzerland Group has been having the opportunity to take his clients to Italy this past summer to attend a gala in Florence
Lastly, outside of work, Mitch has another job: being a dad. When he leaves Watches of Switzerland, The Promenade, he goes home to four children and a dog. He is still negotiating compensation for that role; however, at the moment, it is an extremely rewarding volunteer opportunity.
John Suida
XENIA IS THE THOUGHT BEHIND EVERY ACTION. IT’S A FEELING
Meet John, our extremely handy Boutique Director at 4308 Breitling Boutique, Valley Fair Mall. While John spends much of his time supporting his colleagues, he is also known as the “handyman” of the boutique. If something is not working well, the team can typically trust him to fix it.
However, when is not executing repairs, he is often found creating Xenia moments. To John, Xenia encompasses everything that he and his colleagues do. “It is the thought behind every action. It is a feeling.” It is brightening someone’s day without even realizing it; remembering the smallest detail; or having the perfect timing. It is delivering that extra special detail that the client never realized that they needed until it was presented. This belief and behavior have come from having experienced the example and unmatched support of his colleagues and management team. “Having had the opportunity to work alongside amazing leaders has always pushed [him] to want to[...]continuously strive to improve himself.” Since joining Watches of Switzerland Group, John’s most memorable moment took place upon receiving the keys to our Breitling boutique. He had moved with his dog all the way across the country in the middle of the pandemic--which was absurd to most—and watched the boutique grow from an empty shell to fully functioning luxury boutique. Outside of work, John enjoys gardening, theater, live music, and concerts.
